In just 12 seconds, 400 North Korean soldiers wiped out by cluster bombs?
The first batch of North Korean aid troops, known as the Vanguard Battalion, recently entered the Kursk frontline and engaged in their first battle, but they were annihilated by U.S.-made cluster bombs from Ukrainian forces.
X user “Alex Chen” stated today (the 23rd) that this Vanguard Battalion, in a reckless advance across an open area while shouting slogans toward Ukrainian positions, was suddenly struck by a barrage of cluster bombs. In a video lasting just 12 seconds, the battalion was essentially wiped out, with the scene being quite brutal.
In fact, the Ukrainian military had been preparing to engage with North Korean soldiers well in advance. Ukrainian sources reported that as soon as the North Korean battalion set foot on Russian territory, they were tracked by U.S. satellites, and their every move was monitored by Ukrainian forces.
“Alex Chen” believes that the North Korean military knows very little about modern warfare, especially high-tech warfare, which led them to charge into an open field without any cover or dispersal. However, the authenticity of the related video has yet to be confirmed.
It is noteworthy that in addition to sending soldiers to Ukraine, North Korea has also dispatched fighter pilotsto Russia. X user “NOELREPORTS” pointed out that with a shortage of Russian pilots, North Korea has sent fighter pilots to assist in the war in Ukraine. These pilots previously had experience flying MiG-29s.
Regarding North Korea’s involvement in the Russia-Ukraine war, South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol stated that Russia’s reckless actions and the military alliance between North Korea and Russia undermine the rules-based international order and threaten peace on the Korean Peninsula and around the world. The South Korean government will not stand by idly.
South Korean intelligence officials revealed that the government and military are considering sending some intelligence personnel and tactical experts to Ukraine. They mentioned that if Ukrainian forces capture North Korean soldiers, South Korean personnel would assist in interrogations or provide translation services, and they could also provide intelligence on North Korean military tactics and operations. Additionally, South Korea is holding meetings to discuss directly supplying 155mm howitzer shells to Ukraine, with specific details pending further developments.
